HALLOWEEN EVENT AND RAFFLES!!

For being giant beasts drifting through the vastness of space, Star Eaters are not lonely creatures! They love to stop and visit planets they pass by, dropping to the surface in their surface forms to get a sampling of the world's culture, cuisine, and more! Many of them pick up on cultural traditions from their favorite haunts, and spread them to other Star Eater friends.

There is one particular tradition that is beloved by many, many Star Eaters for it's charming night of dressing up in costumes - silly, spooky, and everything in between - and sharing gifts, sweets, and tricks with each other. The Night of Witches, All Hallow's Eve, or most commonly, Halloween!

In honor of this spooky fall holiday, we are celebrating with a month of events! Here’s what we have on our roster:

ART PROMPT

Draw or write about a Star Eater partaking in a Halloween themed activity - carving pumpkins, trying on costumes, trick-or-treating, etc - or an activity from an adjacent holiday such as Día de los Muertos!

Requirements
  • Art submitted for the prompt must be at least flat colored, half body and include some kind of thematically appropriate prop or background
  • writing must be at least 400 words
  • you must upload to a website that clearly shows your username and the date/time of upload [No discord links!] Toyhou.se, Sta.sh, and the onsite website are all viable options! this goes for writing as well. please do not just submit a google docs version!
  • You may use your own official star eaters, one of the NPCs, or another user's official star eater [with permission/open for gift art enabled] for this prompt
Rewards
  • The usual comet coin ammount for your art based on the comet coin calculation guide
  • one raffle ticket for each raffle
  • a random item from the halloween 2024 collectables collection!

TRICK-OR-TREATING!

Along with our art prompt, we’re hosting a trick-or-treat event! Special Star Eaters will have a goodie for you to claim from them on their page! Knock on our seven NPCs’ doors to find a treat just for you! [hint: you can find the NPCs on gemini ‘s page!, check the notes tab!]

SCORPIO IS HANDING OUT CANDY ALL MONTH LONG!

Our local spooky NPC Scorpio is handing out candies all month long as well! Click on the “Scorpio’s Spooky Treats” in the ‘Play’ dropdown to claim your free treats once per day!

RAFFLE

You can enter them using the two RAFFLE TICKET items, You can get the raffle ticket items randomly in the halloween goodie bags and as a reward for doing the prompt and completing the halloween collection! 

READ:

When you get your raffle ticket item you must OPEN IT to be entered into the raffle! Do not forget to do this before the raffle rolls on november 1st! tickets not opened after NOV 1st will no longer function.

opening these tickets functions the same way as opening a box, go to the item in your inventory, click on it, Then select it using the check box  under "source", then click "open box" and then "open"

If you get these items and don’t wish to partake in the raffle they can also be sold for 50 comet coins. 

COLLECTION

You see all those candy items you get from the goodie bags? Collect one of each to complete the halloween collection! You’ll receive a reward of a raffle ticket for each halloween raffle star eater as well as a special pet summoner item to get a special halloween version of one of the Star Eaters pets!

IMPORTANT NOTE: some of the items for the collection can be used for other things such as summoning halloween pets, be sure to claim the collection BEFORE using those items as using them is not reversible! Claiming the collection does not consume the items so you can use them afterwards!
